Today, the society has rapidly evolved into the age of information technology that has brought about the needs to enhance knowledge and develop human resources to become proficient, capable and innovative as well as having morality and ethics.

For this reason, Western University’s graduate school has developed the curriculum of Doctor of Philosophy in Public administration to be a learning process that focuses on the students and encourages them to become role models. The students are motivated to cultivate reasoning based on theories and numerous practical experiences. They should be able to empower visions, incorporate global knowledge and local wisdom to promote diverse learning, promote systemic thinking and promote creative integration of modern educational management for the interest of students in the future. This is to fulfill the mission of higher education institution and in accordance with the university’s development strategy.

The program’s philosophy       

To develop master’s graduates who are highly knowledgeable in academic and specialized in the selected fields. They shall be innovative in promoting advanced knowledge that is valuable for the country’s development on economy, society and politics. In addition, they shall possess morality and professional ethics, forward thinking and leadership.   

Career opportunities after completing the program

Upon completion of the program, the graduates may choose to pursue careers as a corporate executive who influences policies and strategies, general administrative role, human r esourcesmanagement,finance administrator, development administrator, governance roles, judiciary administrator in government and private sectors, university lecturer, politician, military role, police, corporate employee and a researcher in both government and private sectors.
